Penny Limer - Training and Operations Director
Penny is an expert in online safety for children and adults working with children. She designs all the sessions Eye PAT run and continually updates them to make sure they cover all the latest issues and trends. Penny has a simple philosophy when it comes to training "You only learn if you are engaged and interested", so all her courses are designed to do just this.
Penny has over 25 years experience as a Trainer. For 17 of these she was the IT Training Manager for a major international financial institution. She has designed and developed hundreds of IT training courses for businesses and for software roll-outs. She is a TAP Accredited Trainer, has studied Accelerated Learning Techniques, is a Member of The Learning and Performance Institute and is an Accredited CEOP Trainer. Penny has completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) to gain a greater understanding of how to help victims of bullying.
Because of the depth of her knowledge on all aspects of online safety and anti bullying, Penny has been asked to speak at various Online Safety Conferences and Head Teacher's Conferences. She spoke at the Mental Health Matters Wales conference alongside the Police and Keith Towler, the Children's Commissioner for Wales. More recently she spoke at the Torfaen Staff conference. She is also called upon as an expert for radio and press articles.
Penny has won awards for developing an IT volunteering program in Primary Schools and spent many years working as a volunteer within schools. She is a mother to two girls so is kept continually up to date with the latest IT trends amongst children.
Wendy from Accipio Solutions was the IT Training Manager for the NSPCC and The Children's Society. She has many years experience in training and has worked with EyePAT since its inception 6 years ago.
Sue Jackson from Byteback Training is a highly experienced trainer. Like Wendy, Sue has been with EyePAT since its inception 6 years ago.
John is the newcomer to our team. John specialises is working with primary and secondary school pupils. His background was as an actor and his claim to fame is he was one of the Pilots in the original Star Wars film. John has created the character Jonnie Rocket whose mission is to keep children free from bullyng. Jonnie Rocket and Happy Kids Don't Bully have joined forces to create a really fun interactive programme for kids.
