Family Courses for Parents and Children Together

We are really excited to announce our new innovative family internet safety sessions

These sessions provide a unique opportunity for parents to come into their child's school to learn and work with their children

Separate sessions will be run for KS1, KS2 and KS3+. The sessions are designed to involve both the children and the adults. They are fun and interactive but with a serious message. They last about 2 hours and are broken up into lots of different activities and games for both the children and the parents, at times working together, at times separately.

The adult accompanying the child can be the parent, carer, grandparent, step parent, aunt, uncle, etc.

One of the key themes of the sessions is the creation of a family internet safety contract.

Parents, carers and their children will learn about cyber bullying, identity theft, grooming and internet gaming and how to protect themselves. Parents and carers will also learn about children viewing unsuitable images and sites.

As with all our sessions, parents will have the opportunity to leave with one of our 151 page internet safety guide, so when they get home they can apply the safety settings they have learnt about.

We have received tremendous feedback and thanks from parents, teachers and children who have come to these brand new sessions.

Testimonial for KS3 Family course

"Once again, a huge thank you to you for coming in and delivering the internet safety session to our Year 7. It was an extremely worthwhile morning and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed it."
